GoF is the acronym of "Gang of Four". It refers to the four authors of the "Design Patterns, Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software" book. In this book for the first time 23 well known patterns were written down, analyzed and discussed. It has become the book on design patterns and it is of course a great source of inspiration to create this wiki.
